Business evaluation and gap assessment

In most instances, our client relationships begin with a request to provide feedback on their current position measured against the best practice model most helpful in their particular case. We then assess the knowledge, technology, resource and capability gaps that would need to be addressed in order to transition successfully. Here, we seek to understand the magnitude of the change journey.

Product and process technology mapping

Through the process of gap analysis, we conduct an assessment of the range of knowledge based manufacturing options open to our client. This may well also involve a competitor and market scan to determine appropriate product design and market orientation as well as ensuring a robust strategic approach to the transition journey. In essence, we seek to understand where the journey might take our client and the best pathway by which to navigate the journey.

This is the process of developing a strong and viable business model and defining a transition pathway for the business. We assist in identifying and reinforcing the core strengths of the business and building a portfolio of initiatives including R&D investments and critical infrastructure to support systematic innovation. It also includes an assessment of the partnerships and alliances that will be required in order to ensure success.

"Development" process improvements

We assist you to implement the effective processes and systems to systematically develop high value products and services and to initiate and respond rapidly to market and technology opportunities, working effectively with collaborative customers and suppliers.

People development

We help to ensure that management and staff are supported through the transition and are effectively empowered through the processes built on a culture of innovation and agility.

Technology partnering and collaborative network development

This is process of leveraging an extensive network of private and government partners that are able to ensure our clients are supported in accessing technologies, markets and logistical expertise. To this end, we leverage the expertise and network of our parent organization, the Victorian Centre for Advanced Materials Manufacturing (VCAMM), a leading organisation for facilitating technology transfer from research institutions to industry.

Technology-project management

Managing the change journey to ensure that it follows a welldefined critical path and is underpinned by rigorous process and accurate documentation. This not only ensures the maximum potential for project success, but also realises maximum investor returns from the transiton.
