Brad Dunstan, CEO of VCAMM visited the USA to present at the Center for Automotive Research (www.cargroup.org) annual conference in Traverse City, Michigan. The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) is a nonprofit organization, focused on a wide variety of important trends and changes related to the automobile industry and society at the international, federal, state and local levels. CAR research studies investigate how international, federal and local issues influence the industry, and how the industry affects society in such areas as employment, the environment and the consumer. Brad presented to the audience, consisting of executives and leaders from the global automotive industry, on research activities in Australia focusing on opportunities for collaboration by US companies. The presentation was well received and led to a number of meetings with organizations such as the National Center for Manufacturing Science, the National Advisory Council for Advanced Manufacturing and the Canadian AUTO21 initiative.
