VCAMM was approached by the Department of Defence to gather together a number of project proposals for submission to the Australian Joint Strike Fighter project (JSF). The Defence Department is ramping up to develop science, technology and industry infrastructure to support and develop the new RAAF F-35 Lightning II JSF, in preparation for its Australian Deployment in 2013. The Australian Government is spending approximately 12 billion in acquisition and development of this platform and the support systems required to maintain, and improve it over the next 50+ years.
All VCAMM consortia partners were invited to submit suitable technology project outlines for inclusion in the submission.
Since submission, the Department of Defence has notified VCAMM that the identified project have generated significant interest and the opportunities will be presented during September.
